It is intended to get the children comfortable in a swimming pool atmosphere and get them interested and excited about coming to lessons on their own.</p><p>Parents will learn some holding and support techniques and learn how and when to use cueing techniques. Other skills range from water adjustment to movement in the water with support to some independent movement. Most of the students we help are neurodivergent or are on the autism spectrum and have an IEP with their school district. While students follow the outlines from one of our swimming levels, modifications are made to strokes and skills as necessary. A specially designed hydraulic lift is available if necessary. Please contact the Aquatics Coordinator to discuss your child's special needs.
