Clay Throwing for High Schoolers
Muddy Waters Studio
Incoming Grades 9-12
We will begin the class by covering proper clay handling techniques, including wedging, attaching clay, storage, glazing, and tool care. We will move to the potter's wheels with a demo and hands on practice. Youth will have lots of opportunities to practice on the potter's wheel, and by the end of the week, they will have 1-2 quality projects to glaze and get fired in the kiln. Participants will be contacted 10-14 days after the final class when their projects are ready to get picked up.
