  • ECFE Out and About

    ECFE Out and About Intergenerational programming classes will be held for the seniors at Trinity Care Center and the Farmington Early Childhood Family Education program. These classes provide an opportunity for the seniors and the children to develop meaningful cross-age relationships. It will give a chance for children to respect and be comfortable with older adults and an occasion for seniors to engage with others, and strengthen community. Parents come and stay, giving support to their children during class time. Children ages birth to grade 3. Registration is necessary for all children and adults attending. The classes will focus on the following activities: June 12- Let's Be Friends- Join us in getting to know our friends at Trinity Care Center through making a craft to take home and one to give away! We will also sing songs together and play with our giant parachute! July 10- Let's Play - We will make a game to enjoy with our new friends! We will shake scarves together and make a paddle balloon game to take home! August 7- Let's Sing - Join us to sing some familiar songs with our friends and make your own musical instrument to use! We will also discover some new instruments for everyone to try! When kids’ energy is put together with seniors’ knowledge and experience, it’s sure to be an extraordinary event. Cost is $3 per child, $10 max per family. Children under 1 year of age are free

    Messy Play

    Messy Play Birth to Prek 5 Discover the artist, the scientist, or the engineer within your child! Make a mess on us. Discover colors, textures, and shades. Take time to build and discover. Go home with new and fun ideas. Parents will separate, giving them a chance to discuss with a parent educator the challenges of parenting children under 5. Register all of your children, but pay for only one!
  • ECFE at the Park

    Join ECFE staff at Lake Julia Park for some activities, crafts, games, socialization and fun! We'll be there from 9:30AM-11AM, but come when you can and leave when you must. Advance registration is encouraged so that we can be prepared, but you can always register when you get there too! Activities are geared toward children birth- 5 years old, but the whole family is always welcome. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children during this time. This event is FREE. Register for one, or all - we can't wait to see you! In the case of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.     Pick 6!

    Now is your chance to join us for our newest class offering. To best fit your hectic schedules, we have new mini classes being offered - you pick the themes you want the most. And . . . it's a steal - while you pick and pay for 6 classes, you are welcome to come to all 10 at no extra charge. Watch for a list of themes by the middle of November and start planning.
  • 2's and 3's

    2's and 3's Must be 24- 48 months What can you expect from your little one now that your child is getting a little older? Learn reasons why one minute your child is a "little adult" and the next minute is falling apart. Learn the ways you can help them learn the skills they need to cope with day to day life. Discuss ways one can encourage when children cooperate and options for parents to aid in a "peaceful" household. The parents will separate for the discussion time. Childcare is available for preschool siblings.

    Just me @ECFE 23-24

    Just Me @ ECFE Separation Must be 3 by class start. This “child only” class will provide a typical preschool experience for your child. This is a great transitional class for families not quite ready to commit to a regular preschool schedule. Important: Parents will be required to attend a “family class” with their child three scheduled days during the session. These sessions will inform the parents what their child is learning in class time. All children must be 3 years old by the start of class and can take care of all of their toileting needs. Free childcare is available on the “family class” days only if registered. Please only register for one class per session. Questions call 651-460-3200?

    Parenting Twos

    Parenting Twos Must be 24-36 months Twos are growing fast and love to explore! This class will focus on the unique as well as challenging stages of the two-year old. The children will enjoy appropriate activities for a two year old. Parents will go to a separate room for discussion time. The topics discussed will pertain to the fast changing two. We are excited that our classes are filling fast. If you find that the class that you desire is full, please register on the wait list. We may have enough to add an additional class!     Register once and it includes all of the following options: .- Marvelous Mondays - Thursday Afternoons - Thursday Evenings - Tuesday Night Gym Times - Saturday Gym Times **PLEASE NOTE*** TWIST AND TUMBLE OPEN GYM TIMES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THESE AND ARE A SEPARATE PROGRAM REQUIRING REGSITRATION AND PAYMENT THROUGH THAT PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY. THANK YOU! Payment can be made during your first time registering and then can be made on-site with your teachers at any later sessions. Only electronic forms of payment are accepted, no cash/check.

    3's and Up

    3's and Up Must be 3 years Your child will be given the chance to explore, experiment, investigate and interact with others. Circle time will include books, educational games and other preschool learning opportunities. In your Parent discussion group, you will be able to choose topics of interest to the group, along with learning how to help your child in their exploration. Parent(s)/guardian(s) will go to a separate room for discussion time. Registration is necessary for childcare of preschool siblings. We are excited that our classes are filling fast.
