    Tiger Girls Basketball Camps The FHS Varsity Girls Head Coach Liz Carpentier and her staff are excited to offer youth basketball camps this summer. Join Coach Carpentier and the FHS Tiger girls basketball staff and players to take your game to the next level. Tiger Girls Basketball Camp (2024-25 school year grades 3-6) M-Th, June 10-13, 9:30-11:30am Farmington High School Cost: $85 (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start) Register by June 1st at midnight to receive a t-shirt; correct size guaranteed for those registered by June 1st SM24-GirlsBball3-6 Tiger Girls Basketball Camp is great for all young players looking to improve their skills, work with the high school team, and have fun playing the game! Campers will work on skills such as shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, and defense. Future Tigers will also have the advantage of learning terminology, philosophies, and offensive and defensive strategies from the FHS Coaching Staff and Varsity players. Camps will include 4 days of skill development and competition. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. *Please bring your own basketball and water bottle. Tiger Cubs Girls Basketball Camp (2024-25 school year grades K-2) M-Th, June 24-27, 9:30-10:30 am Riverview Elementary School Cost: $65 (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start) SM24-GirlsBballCub Register by June 1st to receive the correct t-shirt size The goal of Tiger Cubs Girls Basketball Camp is to get young players excited about basketball, and teach them the beginning fundamental skills to encourage continued practice and enjoyment. The camp will focus on fundamentals, and skill based competitions and game play. Tiger Cubs Camp is great for all young players looking to improve their skills, work with the high school coaching staff and team, and have fun playing the game! Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. *Please bring a basketball and a water bottle. Tiger Girls Summer Basketball Program (2024-25 school year grades 7-12) This program is for girls who plan on playing FYBA travel basketball or High School basketball for the 2024 winter season. T/W/Th, June 11th-July 25th, no practice June 19 or July 2-3 Farmington High School Cost: $120 (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start) SM24-GirlsBball9-12 (for grades 9-12) SM24-GirlsBball7-8 (for grades 7-8) The Summer Basketball Program includes: T/TH - morning practices focusing on shooting form, offensive skills, fundamentals, and some game situations W - skill workouts, time TBD Grades 9-12: 7:00-8:30am Grades 7-8: 8:00-9:00am *Please bring your own basketball and water bottle. About the Tiger Girls Basketball Head Coach Liz Carpentier Liz Carpentier enters her 10th year as head girls’ basketball coach at Farmington High School. She enters her 21st season as a Varsity Head Coach at the high school level. Before Farmington High School, she spent 8 seasons coaching at Eagan High School. Carpentier took over a Farmington girls’ program that had won just 3 games the season before. During her time at Farmington, she has led the program to 3 South Suburban Conference Championships, 2 Section 1AAAA Championships, 2 State AAAA appearances and was crowned State AAAA Co-Champions in 2020. The Tigers were set to play Hopkins High School in the State Championship game before the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic. Since Carpentier took over she has grown the girl’s program from just 2 teams to 4, has had numerous players continue to play at the collegiate level, including two former plays compete in the 2022 Elite 8 in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Carpentier is very involved in the youth basketball program (FYBA) and continues to devote time and energy to growing and promoting the game of basketball in the Farmington community. In 2024, Carpentier has been inducted into the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches' Association's (MGBCA) Hall of Fame. She has been named the Section 1AAAA Coach of the Year 3 times and was named the State AAAA Coach of the Year in 2020. In addition to coaching, Carpentier is a Social Studies teacher at Farmington High School, serves as the 1AAAA Section Representative, and is a member of the MN HS Girls Basketball All-Star committee.
