Does your child need one-on-one academic or homework help, with hands-on learning a part of the mix? Sign-up for Academic Tutoring!
Academic Tutoring is a convenient and personalized tutoring program, designed to fit the needs and interests of each student. Students can receive instruction in reading skills (phonics, spelling, comprehension strategies, knowledge-building, vocabulary), writing skills, and math, while learning about social studies and science topics. Instruction will tailor appropriate strategies and engaging activities to each student.
Academic Tutoring offers private 30 minute sessions. Please complete the registration to fill out your preferences, and a Community Education staff member will reach out to you directly regarding placement. Placement will begin based on enrollment size. Locations of tutoring will be determined based on the demand.
Tuition for Academic Tutoring is $25 per session. Participants can customize their schedule with their desired number of sessions. If students opt for a full school year of sessions, a payment plan will be created.
Sessions will be offered on a continual weekly basis, and will follow the school district calendar. Click here to view the calendar. There will be no sessions on non-school days and conference days.
If you would like to continue tutoring beyond your scheduled end date, please contact Community Education at least one month prior to the end of your session to secure your same time. If Community Education is not contacted, your date and time will become available to the next interested student.
Please contact 651-460-3200 or youthenrichment@farmington.k12.mn.us with any questions.
