Meet the Instructors
Jaclyn Schmeichel
She is in her eighth year as a music educator. She directs Con Brio, Cantabile, and Vox. She also co-directs Farmington High School's annual musical revue CABARET. In the last few years, Schmeichel has pioneered a curricular Vocal Jazz program for students to develop their group and solo singing. She spent her first four years at Burnsville High School directing all choral ensembles, including a touring a cappella ensemble. Choirs under her direction have traveled locally and internationally to destinations such as Puerto Rico and Italy. Schmeichel earned her Master's in Music Education from the University of St. Thomas, and her Bachelor's in Music Education from North Central University. She also studied Spanish and spent time living and teaching in Chimaltenango, Guatemala. She is an active member of MN ACDA, and was honored as the Emerging Choral Director of the Year in 2024. Her favorite part of being a choir teacher is connecting with students and walking alongside them in their musical and personal journey throughout high school.

Megan Dimich
She is in her 19th year as a music educator, having spent her entire career at Farmington High School. Dimich conducts Chanté, Concert Choir, Musical Theater, Vocé and New Dimension. She is also the Vocal Music Director for the FHS Fall Musical and is one of the artistic directors for CABARET each spring. Dimich has organized and directed several domestic performance tours with the FHS Choirs, including destinations such as Chicago, New York City and Orlando. Her choirs have toured/performed at a number of college campuses with collegiate choirs as well as international choirs. Dimich is also an active participant in our state music organizations and has served as the All-State Choral Assistant for the All-State Choirs. She feels the best part about this job is connecting with her students over the course of four years, building a culture where students feel valued and safe, and encouraging them to grow as musicians and people.
