Middle School Girls Interscholastic Tennis

Grades 6-8

This middle school interscholastic (against other middle schools) tennis program is for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls from Boeckman and Dodge middle schools. 14 practices in Farmington and 10 matches against other middle schools (like Burnsville, Lakeville, Northfield, New Prague, and more) are scheduled. The goal of the middle school interscholastic athletics is participation, involvement, and development of skills beneficial for future success. These skills include Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Cooperation, Loyalty, Goal Setting, Work Ethic, Organization, Self-Discipline, Perseverance, and of course Sportsmanship. Adults lead practices and coach at matches.

Practices will take place at the tennis courts at Boeckman Middle School from 4:00-5:30 pm. Dodge Middle School students take the after school activity bus over to Boeckman.

Home matches will take place at the tennis courts at Boeckman Middle School. Usually "home" matches will start between 4:15 and 4:30 and take about an hour and a half.

Away matches may start as early as 4:15 or as late as 4:30 and takes about an hour and a half.

Please note that there is no school bus (transportation) to or from away matches. Student's parent/guardian is responsible for making travel arrangements to and from away matches.
