How to Build Your Own Shed
Instructor: Paul Landwehr 

Ready to roll up your sleeves and build something lasting? Join Paul Landwehr, a retired construction trades instructor with over 40 years of hands-on experience, for this hands-on, fast-paced introduction to shed building.

In just three hours, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to construct your own shed—from reading plans to making accurate cuts and measurements. Paul will walk you through:

  • Using key tools: circular saw, miter box, speed square, and level
  • Mastering the tape measure—specifically for lumber layout
  • Step-by-step guidance on shed plans and best building practices

Whether you’re a beginner or someone looking to sharpen their DIY skills, this class will give you the confidence and know-how to build your own shed from the ground up.

Bonus: Paul offers a personal follow-up visit and/or video call to your shed building site to ensure you’re on the right track.(within a 10 mile radius)

Tools students should bring to class: 

  • 25' construction tape measure ( must have 16", 19.2", and 24" marks)
  • Speed Square
  • pencil
