Intro to Vectric’s V-Carve Software for the CNC Hobbyist

Adult Enrichment / Lifestyle -
2025/2026 CE Catalog

Kevin Collins is a CNC, Laser and 3D Printing Enthusiast with a vast knowledge of V-Carve Pro, LightBurn and Fusion 360.

This course is for the CNC Hobbyist with a desire to learn V-Carve Desktop or V-Carve Pro by Vectric. Topics covered are the most fundamental commands and toolpaths in the V-Carve Software. Week one will cover a broad look at the CAD portion of V-Carve while week 2 will cover a broad look at the CAM portion of V-Carve. The third week’s lesson will be more hands on while we create a sign using CAD and then assign them toolpaths so you can take your creation home and cut it out on your CNC. In the final week we will review all topics covered, Q&A and finish any designs from week three. It is required all students have a purchased version of V-Carve or the trial version of V-Carve installed on your own personal laptop computer to bring to the class.

The course photos are examples of what you can make!

If you plan to use the trial version of V-Carve please call Kevin to discuss its limitations.

If you would like to contact Kevin with questions regarding this course, please feel free to contact him at (651) 260-1972 on weekdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
