WaitlistAdult Woodworking for Beginners to AdvancedArtsThis 7 week course will allow beginners to advanced students to learn the basics of woodworking and/or add to their knowledge while making their own personal project(s). Book shelves, patio furniture, and lathe turning are just some projects that have been made under the expert assistance of Paul Landwehr. Paul is an Industrial Arts teacher with 40 years of woodworking experience. Students must call Paul before the first class to ensure the project chosen can be completed in the class time. Students need to supply lumber, glue, fasteners, sandpaper(s), tape measurer, pencil, and ear protection. Paul will discuss how the class works so you will be ready the first night to work. Clay Hand Building Set for Adult and ChildArtsThis 2 hour course will cover the basics of clay handling. We will guide students in their pairs to design and create a matching set. Choose from a bird house and bird feeder, ice cream bowls, OR fairy or gnome door and garden décor. Students will glaze their projects before leaving the studio, and will be contacted to pick up their pieces after they've been fired. You only need to register once. Clay Hand Building for AdultsArtsThis course will cover clay basics like wedging, slabs, coils, and storage of clay. Students will design a project to complete over the class sessions, either a large project or a matching set of smaller projects. Clay Throwing for AdultsArtsThis course will introduce students to the proper handling and care for clay. We will learn and practice how to center the clay on the potter's wheel, as well as how to make specific shapes. At the end of the course, each student will have 2-3 pieces created and glazed.
