  • TIGER Summer Skills Football Camps

    FHS Varsity Football Coaches Jon Pieper and Rick Sutton Incoming 1st-9th Grade Football Camps These camps provide the opportunity for youth to develop skills that will prepare them to become successful varsity football players. Athletes will learn offensive and defensive fundamentals from varsity football coaches and players. Coaches will teach drills specific to linebackers, defensive backs, defensive line, receivers, running backs, offensive line, and quarterbacks. These camps will focus on player development while providing opportunities for athletes to compete and become better football players. Competition will be created through drills and specific passing situations that will allow the campers to put their newly formed skills to the test.     TIGER BOYS BASKETBALL CAMPS The FHS Varsity Boys Head Coach Tharen Johnson and his staff are excited to offer youth basketball camps this summer. Join Coach Johnson and the FHS Tiger boys basketball staff and players to take your game to the next level! Boys Basketball Academy (2025-2026 school year grades 8-9) M-Th, June 9-July 31, no camp June 19 or the week of June 30th, 8:45-9:45 am Farmington High School Cost = $100 (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start!) Campers bring their own basketball and water bottle SM25-BoysBballAcademy Boys Basketball Academy is for boys going into 8th & 9th grade (2025-2026 school year) who are interested in playing competitive basketball. The Academy is offered in conjunction with athletes also participating in the Farmington High School Summer Training Camp, which runs from 7:00-8:30 am. Training Camp is a separate registration through the high school. It is strongly encouraged that boys basketball players sign up for both. Boys Competitive Travel Camp (2025-2026 school year grades 6-7) M-Th, June 16-July 17, no camp June 19 or the the week of June 30th (4 weeks), 10:00-11:15 am Farmington High School Cost = $190 T-Shirt Included (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start) Campers bring their own basketball and water bottle SM25-BoysBball6-7 This 4 week basketball camp is for boys going into 6th and 7th grade (2025-2026 school year) who played travel basketball or are interested in competing in travel basketball during the winter. Varsity Head Coach Tharen Johnson and staff will work with each camper to improve their shooting, passing, and dribbling skills to become a better basketball player. The main goal is player development and for the kids to compete and have fun. We are excited for this awesome opportunity to not only improve basketball skills but also improve each boy's athleticism this summer. Boys Competitive Travel Camp (2025-2026 school year grades 3-5) M-Th, June 16-July 17, no camp June 19 or the week of June 30 (4 weeks), 11:15-12:30 pm Farmington High School Cost = $190 T-Shirt Included (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start) Campers bring their own basketball and water bottle SM25-BoysBball3-5 This 4 week basketball camp is for boys going into 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade (2025-2026 school year) who played travel basketball or are interested in competing in travel basketball during the winter. Varsity Head Coach Tharen Johnson and staff will work with each camper to learn basic basketball skills. The goal of this camp is get the boys excited about basketball, improve, and to have fun. Boys In-House/Rec Camp (2025-2026 school year grades 3-7) M-Th, July 21-24, 10:00-11:00 am Farmington High School Cost = $110 (Please note that you will not be charged for this camp until 3-5 days before the start) Campers bring their own basketball and water bottle SM25-BoysBballRec3-7 This one week camp is for boys entering 3rd through 7th grade (2025-2026 school year). Varsity Head Coach Tharen Johnson and staff will work with each camper to improve their basketball skills. The goal of this camp is to have fun playing basketball. About the Coach: Tharen Johnson FHS Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach Coach Johnson has been with the varsity basketball program at Farmington High School and coaching summer basketball camps since 2005. He served as a varsity assistant for 12 seasons and as head varsity coach since 2017. In that stretch he helped build Farmington boys basketball from a one win team in 2005 to a conference championship in 2009, its first conference title since 1962. During Coach Johnson’s tenure in the program, Farmington boys basketball had its top two winning-est seasons in history recording 20 victories in 2009 and 19 wins in 2014. Johnson helped develop four players who went on to be 1,000 point career scorers as well as many players who went on to play at the collegiate level.
