Intramural Basketball

Join other athletes for this winter for Intramural Basketball! Teams will be either co-ed or gender specific depending on enrollment. Teams of 6-10 will be assigned after enrollment, athletes may request to be part of a certain team. There will be 2 games a night per team (in the event there is an odd number of teams, one team may have a BYE week). There will be 6 weeks of regular season and 2 weeks of play offs. Games will have two 12 minute halves with a half-time of 5 minutes.

Registrants should be a fully enrolled Farmington High School Student in grades 9-12 (or a homeschooled resident) and should be in good academic standing. 

Registration is mandatory to participate in the league. Registration cost is $50 per person to participate, and will include a t-shirt. This fee will be charged the Wednesday before the start of the league, after that it is non-refundable.

Rules: 

Sportsmanlike behavior and appropriate language are expected at all times. You might get 1 warning, but you know the expectations in our building. If you’re unable or unwilling to follow the expectations, you will be sent home for the night.

Any physical altercations will result in a team being sent home and all games that week being recorded as a loss. Second physical altercation will result while team being removed from tournament. 

There will be refs. The refs will be chosen from players of teams who are waiting to play their games. Two refs to a game.

Supervisor has the final call on any dispute.

5 Fouls to foul out

Bonus starts at 7 team fouls, Double Bonus at 10 team fouls.

Teams keep track of fouls.
