  • Movie and Film Production

    Mark Toutge Incoming grades 5-8 Would you like to be an actor in a short film? Would you like to work behind the scenes operating cameras, microphones and lights? If so, we will be filming a brand new short film this summer through Community Education at Farmington High School. Broadcasting and media teacher Mark Toutge will lead students through the process of creating a short film from start to finish. All students should bring a blank flash drive to the camp so they can receive a copy of the finished short film.

    Gina Mayer, Mayer Arts, Inc. Ages 5-8 Moana 2 Musical Theater Class The ocean is calling once again! We will choose our characters, learn music and choreography from Moana 2 and create our own musical! Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! We will also play fun, creative theater games. All that is needed are comfortable clothing and shoes, a nut free snack and a water bottle. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class!

    Rachel Gorden-Mercer, Director Incoming grades 6-8 Join BMS Band Teacher, Rachel Gorden-Mercer, to learn the ukulele or advance your skills! Students will learn or review chords and strumming techniques, to play fun songs! Ukuleles are not provided, but some are available to borrow. Email rgordenmercer@farmington.k12.mn.us to reserve a ukulele.

    DASH Sports Grades K-5 DASH Sports lacrosse camps provide participants an introductory experience to the game. Athletes will learn basic lacrosse fundamentals including stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting, all in a fun, non-checking environment. This is a non-contact camp, helmets and gloves are not required, but can be brought with and worn. Sticks and balls are provided.

    DASH Sports Grades K-5 DASH Sports Summer Lacrosse camps provide participants a no-contact introductory experience to the game. Athletes will learn basic lacrosse fundamentals including stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting all in a fun, non-checking environment. This is a non-contact camp, helmets, gloves, and mouthguards are not required, but can be brought with and worn. Sticks and safety lacrosse balls are provided. Participants should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and snack.   • IGNITE Machine Sewing

    Diana Berg Incoming Grades 6-8 Come and learn new skills with your sewing machine! In this camp, youth will learn how to use a sewing machine to complete a standard size pillowcase, then they will use a pattern to create their very own pair of lounge pants, then the final project will cumulate with a letter pillow. Youth must bring their own sewing machine. There are a few available to borrow. Email youthenrichment@farmington.k12.mn.us to reserve one of the available sewing machines!
  • IGNITE Jewelry Making

    Diana Berg Incoming Grades 6-8 Come and learn new skills in this jewelry making camp! Learn basic techniques using beads, wires, crimp beads, dangles, connectors and learn skills such as wire wrapping. Leave camp with a set of original pieces ready to wear or give!
  • Veterinary Adventures

    Alex Sommerfeld and FFA Students Incoming Grades 4-9 Veterinary Adventures is for incoming 6-9 grade students and it is a beginner course into the world of veterinary medicine. Students will be introduced to animal handling and restraint, bandaging, suturing, injections, and nutrition. They will also have the opportunity to learn about basic anatomy/physiology, and diseases that are common in small animals. Participants should bring a labeled water bottle and nut-free snack.
  • Basketball TYKES

    Basketball Tykes Camp Ages 2- 5 DASH Sports Basketball Tykes camps provide players an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle. Balls are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3 year old group and recommended when needed for the 4-5 year old group.

    Intro to Floral Design

    Alex Sommerfeld, FFA Advisory, and FFA Students Incoming Grades 6-8 IGNITE Intro to Floral Design is a beginner course for those interested in floriculture or the floral industry. Participants can learn simple centerpieces, vases/bouquets, and wearable flowers such as corsages, hair pins, and flower crowns. Also can learn about the basics of flower care, growth, processing, and storage. Participants should bring a labeled water bottle and nut-free snack.
  • Golf Squad

    Golf Squad Grades K-8 Golf Squad at Levi Dodge Middle School is for both new and continuing students and provides weekly opportunities for your child to learn the technical swing mechanics (i.e. putting, chipping, full swing, etc.) as well as the social skills required to enjoy golf, the clubs, and golf course (i.e. vocabulary, etiquette, rules, history, etc.) all under the instruction of an LPGA or PGA Professional. Golf is a very challenging and fun sport that can lead to college scholarships. So start early and start now...boys and girls! Even if your child already plays, it is great to enjoy weekly, convenient lessons from the pro.   • IGNITE Acrylic Painting

    Diana Berg Incoming Grades 6-8 Youth will create their very own masterpiece using acrylic paint on canvas! Projects include paint pouring, acrylic painting and sealing. Please wear old clothing in case youth get paint on them.
  • DASH NFL Flag Football Camp

    DASH Sports Grades K-5 DASH Sports officially licensed NFL flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Each player receives an official NFL Flag Jersey and flag belts to keep. Players will pick the jersey of their favorite NFL team at the time of registration. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a snack (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). All other equipment is provided.
